Meet the Team
Krista is the founder & heart behind Den Psychology.
She is a registered psychologist who believes therapy should feel supportive, collaborative, and, at times, lighthearted. Krista creates a space where clients can show up as they are, feel genuinely understood, and work toward meaningful change at their own pace. Her approach balances clinical expertise with warmth, curiosity, and a good sense of humour, because growth does not have to feel so heavy all the time.
-
Krista’s work is client-centred, trauma-informed, and rooted in evidence-based practices. She believes therapy works best when it feels collaborative, less “expert talking at you” and more “let’s figure this out together.” Sessions are tailored to each individual, with a focus on building insight, resilience, and practical skills that translate into real life.
-
Krista works with adults, children (10+), teens, and parents navigating concerns such as anxiety, emotional regulation, trauma, grief, family transitions, and relational challenges. She has a particular interest in supporting youth and families through complex emotional and behavioural concerns.
-
Krista is an experienced Registered Psychologist that uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as EMDR, DBT and CBT. Krista is a trained parent-child attachment specialist with advanced training in parent-child specific EMDR. For providing therapy for youth, She brings over five years of experience of client work in both inpatient treatment settings and community programs. Krista is currently completing training in sandtray therapy for youth, an evidence-informed approach used to process complex trauma. She is committed to ongoing professional development to ensure her work remains ethical, effective, and aligned with current best practices.
-
Clients often describe Krista as warm, calm, and easy to talk to. She values authenticity and believes therapy should feel human, not intimidating. There’s space for hard conversations, honest reflection, and even a bit of humour when it fits.

Outside of the therapy room, you can find Krista trying to wrangle her own toddler and spending way too much time in Costco. Krista has a deep passion for animals and loves spending time with her Black Labrador, Winston. There are actually 4 Black Labs between Krista and her husband’s families. She is always happy to share pictures of them when asked. Krista also enjoys being horizontal and searching for the next TV series to binge or trying to understand the latest TikTok trends. Krista really loves music and has an eclectic taste for anything from Taylor Swift to screamo music. If you just want to listen to music in sessions, Krista is your side kick.
